Crashfaster is a San Francisco-based band that combines elements of 8-bit video game music, synth pop, and industrial. Their songs, while bright and effervescent, are often darker and more melancholy than the work of most artists associated with the chiptune scene, reflecting themes of loneliness and disenchantment. The group was started in 2009, initially as a solo vehicle for video game composer Morgan Tucker, who wrote bouncy synth pop tunes using vintage video game consoles as well as drum machines and vocoders. After appearing on a few compilations, Crashfaster's debut album, Disconnect, was released by Monobomb Records in 2011. In 2012, Crashfaster provided a remix for Minecraft composer C418's album One. By the time Crashfaster released their second album, Further, in 2013, they had became a full band including vocalist Keiko Takamura, drummer Devin Nixon, and guitarist Ryan Case. The Superchroma EP followed in 2014, and the group contributed a cover of "Never Let Me Down Again" to the Depeche Mode tribute album Enjoy the Science. The two-track singles Echo and Rewind followed in 2015.

88bit is the alter ego of Cleveland-based pianist, Rob Kovacs, where he performs note-for-note piano arrangements of classic video game soundtracks from the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Kovacs’ performances are unique in that they recreate early electronic music that was never intended to be performed by humans, stretching the limits of traditional piano playing. Kovacs has been performing as 88bit since 2018 and has played at events such as the Super MAGFest, PAX South, the Mensa National Gathering, NeoSonic Fest, Classic Game Fest, Confluence and others. Outside of 88bit, Kovacs is an award-winning composer, pianist and singer/songwriter. He is the first person to perform Steve Reich’s Piano Phase solo by simultaneously playing both piano parts on two pianos. Kovacs also performs as a solo singer/songwriter as well as fronts the indie-rock bands Math + Logic and Return of Simple, the latter of which plays regionally and who’s music has been played on satellite, college and Pandora radio. He has performed and recorded with other artists including Mega Ran, Mark Mothersbaugh, Parson James, Sandra Bernhard, Natalie Weiss, Rachel Potter, Grace Love, Margot Bingham, and Herzog.
Wreck The System is a hip-hop music group. Dabbling in nerdcore hiphop, EDM, and chiptunes - Wreck is made up of musicians Cam3, LadyJ, Twill Distilled, and Osiris Green. They are based out of the DC Metro Area near College Park, MD. The four teamed up in 2016 and have been inspiring audiences all over the united states with their message of "Be who you are without fear!"

After falling in love with the goofy but energetic and beloved style through rhythm games, Travis began attempting to recreate those sounds with his own work, starting with a borrowed Korg sound module and abandonware MIDI sequencing software. From there he’s elevated the beloved sound to new audiences and spotlights, from appearing in arcade game and anime soundtracks such as Initial D to mentions in Rolling Stone and collaborations with/remixes from such acts as Andromulus and The Living Tombstone.

Miguel Iniguez, known by his stage name Starfarer is an American synthwave musician from California. Miguel has a background as a guitarist in several metal bands. Since 2017, he started making retro futuristic music inspired by 80s sci-fi movies and soundtracks using a variety of software synths in his productions. He released his debut Album Starfarer in March of 2018 and has released two albums, an EP and a couple of singles since then. He started playing shows in 2018 and has now performed several live shows.
